I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my new wallcovering collection, ‘Ambia’ for Fromental, which debuted at the New York Design Center’s 2022 “What’s New What’s Next.” What started three years ago as an art-inspired commission for the Masterpiece Art Fair in London, is now available to purchase from Fromental in four luxurious colourways. Building upon the original colourway in tropical green and blue hues, I worked with the talented designers and artists at Fromental to develop three additional varieties, each recalling the grandeur of Old Havana. The line was further evolved by adapting each with metallic flourishes and by adding a variety of new tones spanning earthy reds, almost translucent whites, and pearlescent pinks. The resulting family consists of four colourways (Vedado, Malecon, Miramar, and Playa), which pay homage to a blend of early 20th-century artistic vision and delicate layering of contemporary sensibilities.
