Photography and design share a common language of composition. Both disciplines rely on the arrangement of elements to create a visually pleasing and harmonious result. In photography, framing, balance, and the rule of thirds guide the composition, while in design, principles such as balance, rhythm, and proportion play a similar role. By understanding and appreciating the compositional techniques used in photography, designers can apply these principles to create captivating spaces that resonate with the viewer.

In this year’s edition of the fair, we were particularly drawn to the bold patters and tapestries in Alia Ali’s images displayed by Galerie Peter Sillem. Spanish photographer Pia Riverola’s nostalgic yet sensual photographs at Homecoming Gallery’s booth were soothing and provoking at once. We left the fair inspired to create beautiful spaces!
