  • City Guide: Amsterdam

I recently visited Amsterdam for a short trip, and although we were only there for 24 hours it was enough to be vastly inspired by everything from the culinary landscape, to the art scene, to the cool concept stores. The pedestrian-friendly neighbourhoods make everything so accessible and easy to wander around.

  • We explored a lot of picture-book beautiful hotels, The Dylan and Pulitzer hotels were some of my favourites. A particularly cool find was the Mendo bookstore inside Hotel de L’Europe in the city centre, filled with the most beautiful books and unique furniture pieces. What I loved most about the city is the vast selection of artisans and small local stores. While many European cities are influenced by the boundless chain industries and restaurants, the Dutch know how to keep it local and ultimately unique.
