  • NJM Loves: Pink Interiors

The colour pink is often reserved only for a little girl’s room. People find it to be too feminine. In honour of Valentine’s Day, I am sharing a few of my favourite pink interiors that I’ve designed and how the hue can make a surprising statement in your home.

Pink is one of my preferred colours to use. In fact, I designed the living room in my London apartment solely around this colour. I love using pink as a neutral as its much more interesting than beige or taupe. The warm tones of my living room feel cosy on a winter’s day. I love living with colour especially in art like this incredible piece by Gustavo Acosta. The rug by Sinclair Till is my favourite in shaggy silk in shades of soft pink and cream.

  • In another project, pink and navy are the perfect match on a vibrant patterned headboard. The bed is the anchor of the room and you can have fun with pattern here as it is a relatively small expense. The bespoke colourway of Le Manach’s ‘Jazz’ fabric is one of my favourites! A sofa at the end of the bed in a sumptuous pink velvet adds a vibrancy to the scheme.
