  • Style Guide: Floristry

With summer in full swing, we are embracing the warmer days and enjoying the outdoors more. Whether a rustic and impromptu lunch or a dramatic dinner with plenty of candles for dining under the stars, I love to set a table. I try to bring texture and contrast and almost always, flowers are the star of the show. From the first sprigs of blossom in spring to the deep hues of the last dahlias in autumn, I like my tablescapes to reflect the seasons.

For the table and arrangements around the house, I choose single varieties for their graphic quality. A few, well chosen stems in a statement vase often has a sculptural effect while an oversize arrangement which plays with scale can be dramatic.

I love flowers for what they bring to a room.
